Foster Care Kinship Assistance Program

What do you plan to accomplish?

The primary goal of this program is to help families and children in the foster care system by providing financial support and free consultation for necessary licensure processes, including inspections and certifications, enabling relatives to become licensed foster caregivers. This initiative will ensure children remain within their kinship care, offering them a stable and safe environment while reducing the strain on the foster care system, which significantly saves money for the taxpayers in the county. Additionally, we aim to remodel and update homes to meet the safety and licensing standards required for foster care, ensuring children can stay with their families in safe and suitable homes. By helping families become licensed foster homes, we open more opportunities for children in the foster care system or entering it to be placed in safe homes, further increasing our goal of reunification and helping children stay within their kinship.
